Introducing: Essntls of skincare - Episode 1.
Scheduled 9pm calls with annoying clients and accidental 3am drinks with beloved friends. These things happen all the time as part of “normal life” in NYC - the city that is our birthplace. Life takes its toll wherever you live. Each city, town and lifestyle has its own unique obstacles and opportunities. Where it really hits you - is your skin.
Let’s be honest. If you never expose yourself to stress, always engage with clinically clean environments, balance your sun exposure, maintain the perfect level of humidity in the air around you, abstain from drinks and parties, dance moderately, exercise intensively but shower infrequently, and also sleep uninterrupted for 8 hours a night every night (there’s a reason they call it “beauty sleep”) - you probably have very little need for skincare. If you figure out how to trick Father Time, you can reduce that need to an absolute zero.
For the rest of us, however, our lives demand that we take care of ourselves. Our skin expects the same. As our first line of defense, it is our skin that bears the brunt of what life throws our way.
This is where we come in. Herb Essntls is designed with life in mind and our products are there to help support your lifestyle. Your skin’s own Life Support, if you will.
Humans have known this for a long time. Skincare has been a way for us to offset the effects of life for more than 6000 years, probably even longer.
In this series, we will take a good look at all things skincare. We’ll take a journey through its history around the world, the main reasons for why we need it, its relationship with makeup, the difference (if any) between male and female needs, how it affects your skin over time, why Cannabis is your skin’s best friend, and even how a skincare routine can play a vital part in supporting you mentally and emotionally.
Join us over the next few months for a series on the Essntls of skincare knowledge, anecdotes and inspiration.
