HERB ESSENTIALS LAUNCHES CANNABIS INFUSED PERFUME OIL
The Cannabis infused skin care brand is launching its first fragrance, a perfume oil, on Tuesday April 10.
The unisex fragrance is based in fresh Cannabis buds, patchouli, and dry amber and with top notes of citrus and bergamot. It comes in a transparent glass vial, protected by a white pouch that tears to open. The packaging follows the minimalistic but playful aesthetic established in Herb Essentials’ previous products.
The fragrance is designed after the brand’s popular scented candle, but optimized for use on the body and is made with Cannabis sativa seed oil. It launches just in time for 4/20.
“4/20 is a celebration of the Cannabis plant and community. It started in 1971 when a group of high school kids coined the term ‘420’ as a code word for meeting up outside school (at 4:20pm) to go hunt for a rumored marijuana field outside Point Reyes, CA. They never found it, but as they puffed away looking for it, 420 became their term for getting high.” says Robert Lund, who founded Herb Essentials together with his wife Ulrika Karlberg. The couple hails from Sweden, but live in New York.
Herb Essentials launched in January of 2017, is available at herbessntls.com and can be found in about 40 stores in the US, Canada and Europe. The Cannabis infused perfume oil retails at $60 and will be available online at herbessntls.com starting April 10, 2018.
