Cannabis infused skincare that helps you stay creative

New York City, March 5, 2017

Herb Essentials is a New York-based skincare brand that engineer their products around the unique beneficial properties of the Cannabis plant. “Cannabis is the most interesting skincare ingredient nature has to offer. It doesn’t emulate anything your skin does, instead it stimulates your skin to do what it’s supposed to do.” says Ulrika Karlberg, who founded Herb Essentials together with her husband Robert Lund, in 2015.

The first product collection consists of a moisturizer, body lotion, lip balm and scented candle. Herb Essentials is available at herbessntls.com and in stores found in Manhattan, Portland, OR and Paris, France. Apart from developing the next generation of products, the brand is also finalizing a collection of anecdotes titled Man and Marijuana: A love story, set to be published during 2017.

Cannabis Sativa seed oil stimulates your skin’s natural oil production to reach a balance that keeps it clean, hydrated and protected. It’s also one of the few oils in nature that doesn’t clog pores. All products are engineered around it and fortified with organic ingredients that optimize its specific purpose.

“Cannabis Sativa seed oil is biologically compatible with the oils found in our skin. That’s why it can help your skin reset when it’s thrown off balance. Your skin needs the right stimulation to stay creative, just like your mind.” says Robert.

Herb Essentials is an independent company, founded in New York City in 2015 on the idea of using Cannabis as the main ingredient in a high performing skincare brand made for everyone.

“We are a skincare brand that uses Cannabis as our main ingredient, as opposed to a Cannabis brand that makes skincare. Cannabis has always been a part of the lives of many of us and the Cannabis community is a huge inspiration to even more people. Our aesthetics are influenced by the era when Cannabis broke through in mainstream and became synonymous with pop culture in the 60’s and 70’s. But we also felt that it was important to break the norm of what cannabis brands usually look like today.” says Ulrika.

As the majority of the production takes place in Los Angeles, CA, Herb Essentials follows the strict prop. 65 policies that ban harmful chemicals and unhealthy preservatives in both products and packaging. The products are made with certified organic ingredients and are never tested on animals. Herb Essentials does not contain any of the psychoactive substance THC.
