Fragrances Are The Ultimate Wardrobe Item

They say fragrances tell you a lot about a person. I’m not sure if that’s necessarily true or not. I do know I’ve been wearing fragrances since I was a kid. I grew up in a town where oils are a part of the culture. Very early on, I was able to decide what I liked and didn’t. Although I didn’t actually own any fragrances of my own, I used what my family had around. Frankincense has always been one of my favorite scents. It layers well with so many other notes. I believe I’ve always used fragrances to define my personality or mood at any given time.
Fragrances can be so personal. I think of it as an olfactory signature, something people will always know you by. In any space, it can command attention, or even start a conversation. It doesn’t have to overpower, that’s not the purpose of fragrances. There’s something about them that enhances a person’s presence. I also love how fragrances allow you to explore elements that might be normally perceived as masculine or feminine. With fragrances, there is no such thing as gender. Fragrances let people break so-called rules.
I start applying fragrances as soon as I get out of the shower. I might put on a body spray or a light fragrance oil to start. I’ll add another fragrance as I’m getting dressed. Then I’ll apply another right before I leave home. I try not to layer too often, but I do love creating unique mixes whenever necessary. It depends on my motive. Do I want to attract a potential mate, or book a new client? Of course, physical interactions are limited right now. However, I still use fragrances even if I’m at home working all day. It’s a part of my daily routine. They are after all, the thing that people remember most. There's something about fragrances that draw me in. I'd choose a great fragrance over clothing any day.
